Our Wedding day, September 5th, 2009, is the day some people dream about all their lives. They plan every detail from dress, colors, cake, and guest list before their 16th birthday! I was not one of those people. With four months to plan, a military move around the corner, and doing most of the planning on my own, both my Mom and I were a little nervous about how everything would come together. A Perfect HybridA perfect hybrid between my Mom's desire for something fancy and my desire for something natural and laid back that displayed the character of the mountains! The moment I met with Amy Dewey from The Crest Center and Pavilion, I had so much more confidence that this amazing event would actually come together and be fun and exciting for everyone (the bride and mother of the bride included)! I could finally breathe the crisp mountain air and take in the scenery as Amy laid out how the reception would pan out. She answered all my questions and gave great advice. I was planning from out of town but, she made my planning go from a chore to something I began to enjoy!
The venue was perfect for my out of town guests! A perfect hybrid between my Mom's desire for something fancy and my desire for something natural and laid back that displayed the character of the mountains! Atop a mountain, the views at sunset were stunning, the cool breeze soothed the spirit, and the music excited the soul. The outdoor fireplace crackled in the cool air, while the outside bar and seating invited guests to enjoy their time surrounded by family and friends.
The Crest Center and Pavilion provided a much needed Bridal Attendant, Becky Lasher, that evening. She was perfect in guiding me from one event to the next; it was seamless. Though every time I saw her, my comment tended to be..."it's already time, I just got here!"
Simply the Best The Crest Center and Pavilion was without a doubt the best place we could have chosen. With little effort, they put together an amazing event and satisfied our guests with an amazing meal! I booked vendors that the Crest Center recommended and who were familiar with the area. Blossoms of Biltmore Park did an incredible job working within my smaller floral budget and made simple but beautiful accents around the room. They were both creative and eager and willing to work with me in my budget constraints. Our music was supplied by Premier Sound and Light, whom I highly recommend! We had a crowd that liked anything from Jay-Z and Nelly, to George Strait and Alan Jackson. Sean made a perfect blend and in my opinion that takes talent! Our cake was supplied by Tiffany's Baking Co. She was the most professional, showing up in her chef uniform. She had the best presentation, best taste, and was VERY willing to create whatever vision I dreamed and work within our budget as well. Tiffany was very impressive with her creativity to draw out what my words described! Cinematrimony was our videographer and was also extremely professional. Many of our guests knew we had a videographer but asked at the end of the event if he had shown up! He blended right in to the crowd and I didn't notice him at all! Again very gifted and very professional! Aaron Imaging supplied our photography and did an absolutely splendid job! For a person nervous in front of cameras and being the center of attention, he put me at ease! His gifts were obvious when we promptly got our photos back post wedding! I adore him!
The Crest Center and Pavilion was without a doubt the best place we could have chosen. With little effort, they put together an amazing event and satisfied our guests with an amazing meal! Thank you again to all those behind the scenes! I could not thank you enough!
All the Best,Julie and Dean Allen
